8" x 8" Cloth Scrapbook Album by Recollections® is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 52.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You CAN ADD PAGES! This little scrap book was present I made for my husband. The photos were black and white so the black background looked great! It is classy, sturdy, and looks nice. It works great if you use it as is. If you need more pages you CAN ADD THEM but... It can be a bit of a challenge. Adding pages: I didn't read the reviews before I bought the scrapbook. After getting home and looking up the item to see if there were instructions on adding pages I discovered all the negative comments. Well I don't give up easily and I didn't plan accordingly and I didn't have time to take it back ND start over... reviews said screws were stripped- NOPE- they are not, a bit weird and awkward to use but functioning . The screws are a male to female that fits into each other, therefore, one side has to be held so you can unscrew the other side. Here's what I did: The screws accept a "Phillips head" screwdriver on each side but the indentation is shallow and wide. I got a large Phillips head screwdriver (big enough to fill in the wide gap in the screw if that makes sense) and I also grabbed a large size short handle flat head screwdriver. I first tried the screw with the Phillips head and noticed it just spun around. Which would lead you to believe it was stripped but since there was the otherside with the same screw indentation I figured it was a male to female screw mechanism. One of them had to be held while the other side was being unscrewed. I opened up the scrap book flat on the table and I placed the flat head screwdriver in my left hand and into the top screw. Then I flipped all the pages over my left hand and used the Phillips head screwdriver on the same screw but on the right side of the scrapbook. Honestly, this is kind of awkward and your vision is limited because of the flaps but it worked! I held the screw on the left side and unscrewed it from the right side (back of the photo album) and it worked just fine. For the black paper (since Michaels didn't have the black refill pages) I just bought heavy black scrapbook paper from the open stock and cut it to size. They do not match 100% but they are close enough that with the other embellishments and photos you can't tell the difference. Was it a bit of a pain yes, would I do it again yes, did it save me from having to return the item and start over yes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible waste of money Whatever you do, do NOT buy this product if you are hoping to add extra pages. The screws in the back are always stripped and will not unscrew. Three times I have bought this album and each one would not allow me to unscrew the screws. I was just a a crop with many other scrapbookers, and they all had the same complaint. Just a badly designed product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Albums! Yes, the screws are hard to get off and replace. I took plyers to mine and got them unscrewed. I love these! I was able to get alot of pics off my phone, print them and put them in these. Great purchase!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO MOT BUY THESE IF YOU WANT TO ADD PAGES!! The screws on one side are round with a flat head. The other side has a very shallow slot and strange slot for a screwdriver. The screws are In so tight and there's no way to grip the flat side so they don't just keep turning when you try to unscrew them. I used every tool I could think of to get them out without being able to budge them even a little. They do look very nice but if you look at the reviews that say how easy they were are 2-5 years old. These are fine if you don't want to have more pages than what they come with. Otherwise, they are worthless and I'm returning mine tomorrow. Also be aware that the package of 25 refills don't fit these. The hole are too widely spaced!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from They changed the refill screws!? These were great and I used them all the time but the company must have cut back on making them well. The screws on the inside are now totally different and they do not unscrew anymore. It is impossible to add more pages.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unable to add additional pages The screws are not removable and thus you are unable to add additional pages. Can chisel screws out but will need a different mechanism to re-secure. Also of note- the recollections expansion package does not fit this book. Highly disappointed!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just purchased this morning, can't unscrew I purchased this and refills because I knew I had more than 20 things to insert and I tried to unbind it as soon as I got home, but I couldn't. No righty tighty, lefty loosey. Or righty loosey, lefty tighty. It won't come off. What is the point if I can't add more?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from New Style - hard to work with This is a new style of binding. It was horrible to try and unscrew to add pages. I hate this new style and how they have changed the screws.
