Can you put wax/budder/shatter in a joint?

I've never smoked concentrates before except hash but I have access to any type of concentrate or bubble hash. I can also get hash oil. I am choosing to get a concentrate instead though because it has a much higher thc % and Im looking to get really high. I have a bong but I don't smoke out of that because its rougher and I don't enjoy it so that's a definite no for the bong. I want to smoke some mixed with tobacco in a rolling paper. I wanna get some "bho crumble" with 90% thc (the guy tested it and hes legit) for $39 per gram is that a good deal? I can also get shatter for around the same price. I don't think the shatter has been tested for thc % though. I would get the shatter because Ive heard it is less plant material however it looks as if it is rock hard which would be impossible to put in a joint. I don't want to get dabbing equipment yet so please don't try and convince me to do so.
Also how many grams should I put in a spliff (with tobacco) to get a nice strong high, I smoke around one joint a day on average.
I know its considered wasteful in a joint but please don't lecture me, Im wondering if it would actually burn/work, thanks

Wiz Khalifa puts wax in joints, and he smokes it but I'm sure it's not efficient at all.

You could. Just break it into tiny pieces and sprinkle them bashfully into the joint. $39 a gram is an alright deal though. Weird number, but Avg. Price around here is anywhere from 45-55 a gram

Smoking wax in joints is tricky. Wax requires more heat to burn than weed, so your weed will burn faster than your wax in the joint, causing the joint to burn unevenly and you'll waste a lot of wax. Try melting the wax onto the weed a little bit.

I have never tried it in a joint. I heard that it's a waste. I'd mix it in a bowl with some flowers.

umm hate to burst yer bubble but smoking it mixed in In a bowl is no more or less efficient then in a joint. To those who dab with rigs and pens only both methods would be concidered a "waste" but it's smokers choice..I myself prefer using a rig with my nail cooler then most ("gotta waste it to taste it") but I also love Rollin some snakes into a joint aka Boomstick... toke on

Shoot it for maximum effect.
Yeah you can but concentrates require a lot of heat all at once to vaporize. The wax will melt and gradually burn off in a j. You'll still feel it but it's not as potent.

I've tried a few different ways. Pieces of shatter throughout a j or blunt, melted on top of blunts etc. I found dipping a blunt in wax letting dry and puff away. With joints double rolling helps because it lets the goods burn before the paper. Everything is a waste unless you're straight using a rig. Plus I've always already been high before smoking like this so it's hard to tell how the high is. Spend 15 on a small rig and collect your reclaim. That's the most efficient way of smoking wax for me. Plus reclaim can almost be better than straight wax.

Honestly I'm doing right now what you have to do is take a very small piece of wax and kind of roll it between your fingers so it's semi long and then when you're about to roll a blunt when the weed is already in and it's about to be sealed what you do is you'll try to open up the wrap a little bit wider and take your lighter and your wax and slowly go over it not touching it but melting it just enough to get a drip hear a drip there it takes a small amount of time but it was long as you do it right it's already slightly heated that way when you smoke it it doesn't go out and you still get that nice extra effect. Just please trust me from experience make sure the lighter doesn't actually touch the wax it just gets close enough to melt it. Happy
